Auto-Pack: Automatic Box Selection

Auto-pack automatically finds the best box for each order -- saving time and reducing shipping costs by choosing the smallest box that fits.

Use Auto-Pack if: You have box sizes defined and want the fastest fulfillment workflow. Works best when your products have accurate dimensions from WooCommerce.

Do NOT use if: You do not track product dimensions, or you always ship in the same box. Use simple packing mode instead.

How it works

1. Fulfiro looks at all items in the order with their dimensions and weights
2. It considers your defined package types (box sizes)
3. It applies any packing rules (overrides, incompatible groups, item limits, padding)
4. It finds the smallest box that fits everything, testing multiple orientations per item
5. If items do not fit in one box, it splits them across multiple boxes

Preview mode

Click Auto-Pack on the order detail page to preview the result before applying. You will see which items go into which boxes, the box dimensions, and any warnings.

Three fulfillment profiles

• Simple stores -- No package types defined. Auto-pack is invisible. You just pick a box and ship. See Simple Packing Mode.
• Auto-pick stores -- Package types defined, product dimensions synced from WooCommerce. Auto-pack selects the smallest fitting box automatically.
• Constraint-heavy stores -- Package types AND packing rules defined. Auto-pack enforces all rules strictly (product overrides, incompatible groups, padding).
