Packing Rules

Packing rules add constraints to the auto-pack algorithm. Use them when you have products that require special handling.

Rule types

Product Box Override -- Force a specific product into a specific box type. Example: fragile glass products always ship in the "Padded Box."

Incompatible Group -- Products that cannot share a box. Example: chemicals and food must ship separately.

Max Items Per Box -- Organization-wide limit on how many items can go in a single box.

Product Padding -- Add extra dimensional padding around a specific product. Example: add 2cm padding around fragile electronics.

Creating rules

Go to Settings > Shipping and scroll to Packing Rules. Click Add Rule, select the type, and configure. Each rule can be individually enabled or disabled.
